Lifeguard

Bearcroft Swim & Tennis Club is looking for motivated and friendly individuals to join our family for the summer season! The Club is a private, family friendly club, nestled in the woods on the Attleboro/Norton line. Bearcroft’s mission is to: Create an environment where friends and families come together and creating lasting memories through laughter and sport.

Your role as is critical to the Club’s success, as you create the positive member-friendly environment.

As a Lifeguard you will:

• Supervise pool and all deck activities
• Open the pool each day and/or close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hours
• Treat the pool with appropriate concentration of chemicals on a regular schedule
• Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift; identify and resolve any safety issues
• Hold members and guest accountable to Club rules
• Monitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of members/guests; direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions
• Facilitate swim test(s)
• Organize and oversee pool parties
• Provide swimming lessons and swim team coaching when applicable
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in and around the pool
• Support Club Management Team with additional duties, as assigned

Other Responsibilities:

• Always provide the highest level of customer service to our members/guests
• Hold members and guest accountable to Club rules
• Immediately raise inconsistencies or issues to Club Management Team
• Respond to member requests
• Cleaning bathrooms and lockers, and other light maintenance as required
• Arrive for your shift in a timely manner
• Attend all required trainings and meetings
• Check-in members & guests accurately upon entry into the club (as needed)
• Ability to work 4-8 hours shifts; min 3 shifts per week

Education and Experience:

• In progress or completed High School Diploma or GED
• Current lifeguard certification required
• Current CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen required
• Swim instructor certification or experience preferred

Job Type:

• Part-time, seasonal
• Hours vary, weekend and evening required

Job Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts

Hourly Wage: $15.00 – $16.00/hour, depending on experience/certifications
